Ornate antique drawstring purse liekly of French origin, late 1800s.
This is a very beautiful old item for appreciating as a decorative piece, perhaps for holding (or gifting!) important pieces of jewellery.
Some of the drawstring pieces have come away from the top and have previously been repaired by being held together with small metal loops. This is reflected in the price as it is does significantly show and they are not attached to the purse as such. The drawstring can be pulled together but it will need to be handled with care.
